Zachary Magan is a theatre director, educator, and arts leader committed to bold, human-centered storytelling that bridges classical craft with contemporary innovation. He serves as Theatre Director at Granite Bay High School in California, where he leads a dynamic, student-centered program known for its artistic rigor and inclusive culture.

Holding a Master’s degree in Staging Shakespeare from the University of Exeter, Zachary’s work is grounded in classical text, physical storytelling, and ensemble-driven performance. His directing credits include Chicago, Urinetown, Machinal, Cinderella, and Peter Pan, often reimagined through fresh conceptual lenses that balance accessibility with artistic risk.

He is also the founder and artistic director of ROVR Theatre, a mobile, community-focused company dedicated to immersive storytelling, youth engagement, and theatre as a vehicle for connection and growth. His ongoing interests explore the intersection of theatre, technology, and human experience, particularly how AI and immersive tools can expand storytelling while preserving live performance’s essential human core.

As an educator and mentor, Zachary champions curiosity, discipline, and empathy—empowering young artists to find both their voice and their agency through theatre.
